The Board of Directors

President: Theodore Chaney-Miadzinian

I am 20 years old and a sophomore at Immaculata University in Chester County, PA. I'm heavily involved with music, participating in the school's Wind Ensemble, Men's Glee Club, Chorale, and theater program. I also act as the Assistant to the school Tutoring Dept. In martial arts I've earned the rank of Second Degree Black Belt or "Second Dan", I've been a student of the art for nearly fourteen years now under the instruction of Master Sam Wallace. The idea of Concerts 4 Cancer came about after the passing of my Grandfather Albert Chaney, from lung and liver cancer, in March of 2005. So, as you can see I personally know the power of losing a loved one to cancer. It is a truly painful experience for both the diagnosed and their family. It is because of these same feelings in my own life that I decided I wanted to help fight cancer. I knew in my mind and in my heart that if I could I would help make sure that MY grandchildren never had to feel what I felt in those months of my Grandfather's struggle. My father agreed with me, so he and I twisted and turned ideas over in our heads until we came up with this and pursued it. This organization is my pride and joy and it is my heart's true desire to see it succeed in raising money to make a donation to cancer research.

Josh Brown Vice-President: Joshua Brown

Secretary: MacKenzie Gray

My name is MacKenzie Gray. I am 23 years old, and the secretary and photographer for Concerts 4 Cancer. I graduated with honors from Immaculata University in May of 2007. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology, and a certification in Elementary Education. I met Ted at the beginning of my senior year, and became involved with C4C shortly thereafter. Concerts 4 Cancer sparked my interest because of Ted's enthusiasm to help those who had been affected by cancer through his passion of music. When he asked me to be secretary, I gladly accepted. My role as photographer grew out of my own passion for photography and my love for the art of concert photography. C4C has taught me how many people are truly affected by this epidemic and how people are working towards a cure. Concerts 4 Cancer is certainly searching, trying to push cancer over the edge.

Noleen UrmsonAssistant Public Relations Coordinator: Noeleen Urmson

I am a 21-year-old senior at Immaculata University, studying Music Education.  I am involved in many organizations on campus, as well as four honors societies.  I am a deans list student, and I am expected to graduate cum laude in the fall of 2008.  I am extremely involved with my music as well.  In my "free time", I enjoy crocheting, baking, making chocolates, and writing music.

My grandmother was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2000, and I watched her fight it fervently.  She is still alive today, though ailing from other conditions.  I never met my maternal grandfather, who died of colon cancer in 1983.  What touches me most dearly though is my Aunt Kate, who was just diagnosed with Uterine Cancer a few months ago.  Currently, I am teaching her the oboe to help her get through this difficult time of chemotherapy treatments and heightened emotions.  I am a great proponent of Music Therapy, and I believe that Concerts 4 Cancer can help everyone in the search for a cure--whether emotionally or monetarily.  With Concerts 4 Cancer, we can find a cure.

Colleen KenneyTreasurer: Colleen Kenney

I am 20 years old. I am a Marketing major at the University of Scranton in Lackawanna County, PA. I am a Dean's list student and I am involved in two academic honor societies: the Alpha Lambda Delta National Academic Honor Society, and the Omega Beta Sigma Women’s Business Honor Society. When I have the time, I enjoy participating in intramural sports such as ultimate frizbee and volleyball.I have been a supporter of Concerts 4 Cancer since it was founded. I was just recently asked to join the Board and it couldn't have come at a better time. This past
November, I lost my 28 year old cousin, Eric Brooks, to brain cancer. He was just married this past summer and it really shook my whole family. Because of this loss, I feel that I am more dedicated than ever to find a cure. Just because we have lost loved ones to this illness, does not
mean that it cannot be beat. Together we can work to find a cure.
